Working at Opposite Lock was a natural progression for Dave. He has been around the outdoors and four wheel drives all of his life. David was a tour guide with his father for many years travelling to places all over Australia, including The Cape, Simpson Desert, Fraser Island, Kakadu, Uluru and many more. He then worked in a camping shop for 8 years thoroughly testing the products that he sold. Dave has a knowledge base that only comes with many years of being out there 4wding, camping and enjoying the great Australian outback. Come in and have a chat to Dave before going on your next adventure.
Jay is our youngest team member here, but don’t let his age fool you. Jay is passionate about four wheel driving and loves his 4.2 turbo wagon. Jay was originally a fitter but because of his love for off roading and his attitude we had to have him out the front with us. Jay loves the technical aspect of 4wd accessories, and is the best person to explain things like diff locks, suspension, winches…in fact, he is competent with everything we sell and even things that we don’t.
James has a strong passion for the 4×4 industry as he enjoys working on various 4×4’s and selling 4×4 accessories. Although James has not gone to as many iconic places as some of the other team members his GQ Patrol has still taken him to plenty of places some of his favourites are Frasier Island, Five Rocks, and Black Down Tablelands. You will find him on most weekends on a track somewhere in CQ and this has helped with his knowledge on what a 4×4 needs whether it is to become a super capable off road weapon or your family tourer, come in and see James to help point you in the right direction.
Whilst Troy is relatively new to 4wd sales, he is an avid 4WD owner with a beast of a Shorty Patrol is an LS2. When owning custom 4wd’s like this you need to have the capability to think outside the box. He enjoys helping other people to turn their dreams into a reality, ensuring that you get the right gear the first time. In his spare time he loves hitting the tracks in his little shorty and getting away from it all.
