Working at Opposite Lock was a natural progression for Dave. He has been around the outdoors and four wheel drives all of his life. David was a tour guide with his father for many years travelling to places all over Australia, including The Cape, Simpson Desert, Fraser Island, Kakadu, Uluru and many more. He then worked in a camping shop for 8 years thoroughly testing the products that he sold. Dave has a knowledge base that only comes with many years of being out there 4wding, camping and enjoying the great Australian outback. Come in and have a chat to Dave before going on your next adventure.
Jay is our youngest team member here, but don’t let his age fool you. Jay is passionate about four wheel driving and loves his 4.2 turbo wagon. Jay was originally a fitter but because of his love for off roading and his attitude we had to have him out the front with us. Jay loves the technical aspect of 4wd accessories, and is the best person to explain things like diff locks, suspension, winches…in fact, he is competent with everything we sell and even things that we don’t.
Brie loves the outdoors, when we are not making her work she enjoys disappearing in her Suzuki Jimny, which she brought stock in 2017 and has already fitted new suspension, different wheels with much more capable tyres, she has also fitted an XRox bar, FrontRunner roof rack and Ultra Vision light bar. This little car will go anywhere except over 100kph, and even still, has managed a few trips outside of the Cap Coast area to places like Cape Palmerston, Fraser Island and Eungella.
Rob is a passionate four wheel driver. He is the owner of a very capable off road touring Hilux, and has fitted all the accessories himself which gives him another level of understanding how the products work and fit. Rob is a wealth of knowledge as he enjoys touring this great country and at his young age has already completed a 10,000klm plus trip through Northern Territory using remote tracks and camps wherever possible. His favourite trip was the “Roothy’s Biggest 4WD Tag-a-long at LandCruiser Mountain Park”, however Fraser Island was up there too!
